Privacy policies and support pages for apps by Ferenc Sági
Last updated: 24 October 2026
SkyContour does not collect, store or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not send anything to the developer or to third parties.
| Permission | Used for | Where the data stays |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Recording the horizon while you pan around | Images are processed on your device and kept only in the app’s storage |
| Motion sensors (compass, gyroscope) | Measuring azimuth and altitude of each frame | Used on the device only, never saved or sent |
| Location (optional) | Writing your latitude, longitude and elevation into the exported Stellarium landscape so the sky matches your site | Stored only with your site on the device and inside the files you export |
| Files / Photos | Saving the exported .hrz and Stellarium files where you choose | Your device, or wherever you share them |
All horizon profiles, survey photos and site details are stored locally on your device. They leave the device only when you export or share a file yourself, and then only to the destination you pick (for example Files, AirDrop or e-mail). Deleting a site, or uninstalling the app, removes its data.
The app works fully offline. It makes no network requests.
The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
